James H. MacIntyre

MacIntyre, James H., 84, of Waterman Avenue, East Providence, died peacefully on June 6, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lillian B. (Travis) MacIntyre.

Born in Providence, a son of the late James I. and Anna (Trenn) MacIntyre, he lived in East Providence for 66 years.

Mr. MacIntyre was a finished carpenter and the owner and operator of MacIntyre Builders for 44 years before retiring in 1999.

James was a member, past President and Treasurer of the East Providence Trinity Brotherhood Club. He enjoyed bowling.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by a daughter, Maureen Ferrara of Albion; three sons, twins; James P. MacIntyre and John M. MacIntyre, both of East Providence and William R. MacIntyre and his wife Joanne of Seekonk, MA; a sister, Diane Wilkinson of Maryland and two grandsons, Andrew W. MacIntyre and Travis J. Daluz. He was the brother of the late Virginia Andrade, Carol Logsdon, Elaine Serowick, Charlotte Briggs, John and Ronald MacIntyre.

A private funeral service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on Saturday June 12, 2021. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in James’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 3805 would be deeply appreciated.
