Art proudly served in the armed services for 27 years, retiring in 1994. He worked at Electric Boat as a material controller for 20 years. He was a past member of the Quonset Davisville Yacht Club; he loved boating, fishing, being out on the water and living in Jamestown.

Art was an avid woodworker and he enjoyed creating clocks, bowls, ice cream scoops and pens to give to family members and friends.

In the neighborhood, he was known as the “applesauce man.” When apple season came around, he could be found in the kitchen making buckets of crock pot applesauce to deliver to family, friends and neighboring children.

There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
