Eliezer Rivera Cartagena, age 58, passed away Saturday May 20, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Ana M. (Rodriguez) Burgos.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was a son of Asuncion Cartagena and the late William Rivera.
Eliezer will be remembered as a man who loved cooking, eating, and visiting his mom every Sunday. He worked as a D.J. for many years and enjoyed bicycles and remote controlled cars.
He was the loving father of Eliezer Manuel Rivera, Jennifer Lee Rivera, Yannette Santiago, Jose Burgos and Ana Montanez; devoted brother of William Rivera Jr., Luz Eneida Rodriguez, Leticia Bell and Maria Jones; cherished grandfather of 10; and uncle of 3.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. and funeral services will be Wednesday May 31, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton MA.
