Emily G. Martineau (Fortier) 95 of Woonsocket passed away on May 23, 2023, at the Oakland Grove Health Center. Born in Pascoag, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda (Rivers) Fortier. She was the loving wife of 50 years to the late Gilbert Martineau.
She was a resident of ME. Formerly of Ashton Court Harrisville; she lived in Burrillville for most of her life. She worked for the former Tupperware Corporation for 25 years. She retired from Bayberry Commons. Emily was a member of the Post 85 American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children Suzanne Wood and her husband Ronald, Angie Soderlund and her husband Ronald, Anna C. Martineau, and Alice Jacques. Eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. She also leaves behind her sister Angie Lacey.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Cora Bert, Herbert Fortier, John Fortier, Arthur Fortier Jr., and Elsie Mc Cauley.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa’s Church 35 Dion Drive. Harrisville. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
