Pawtucket – William T. Fitzhugh, Jr., 66, of Trieste Street, died Monday, May 22, 2023 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Gervais) Fitzhugh. Mr. & Mrs. Fitzhugh had been married for thirty-four years.
Born in North Kingstown, a son of Virginia (Coelho) Fitzhugh of Pawtucket and the late William T. Fitzhugh, he had lived in Pawtucket for many years.
Mr. Fitzhugh was a physical therapist assistant and massage therapist at South County Rehabilitation Center, North Kingstown, retiring in 2019.
Bill was an avid cyclist, participating in many Bike MS Rides, and enjoyed kayaking, especially in the Bay of Fundy and Bar Harbor, Maine. He volunteered at the Lifespan Wellness Fairs for many years, offering massage therapy, as well as at the Bike MS Rides.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepson, Michael Sweeney of Fall River, Mass.; his sister, Judy Richardson of Orlando, Florida; his brother, Michael Fitzhugh of Lincoln; and his granddaughter, Gianna Sweeney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and his burial will be private
